Day 11 - If Pitching

We had to pitch our ideas to the insurance company If today. Since I was out yesterday, it was challenging to assist my team with finalizing touches. It was surprising to learn that If is interested in various startup ideas, resulting in a very diverse field.

My team worked on a platform that utilizes data from medical-grade wearables to collect and analyze sleep data, aiming to generate concrete actionable plans for users to improve their sleeping patterns and overall well-being.

Pitching ideas

After lunch, it was time for the pitches. I was surprised to see that not only had our allotted time working on the case doubled, but we also had nearly double the time to present it. Five minutes can feel like an eternity when the concept is barely 24 hours old. Nevertheless, some pitches were remarkably strong, clear, and well-thought-out. Having seen numerous pitches in my startup journey, I must say I was very impressed by the overall improvement in quality compared to the previous week, which had already set a high standard. It's evident that these are skilled individuals, immediately building upon last week's presentations. I am lucky to be part of this group!

Unfortunately, we didn't emerge victorious this time. Let's blame it on my illness yesterday, which prevented me from contributing to the team.
