Day 15 - Week Three

New Week, New Adventure
Today was packed with a diverse program. We kicked off the day with a panel discussion featuring startups and VCs, providing insights into the current investment market. Later, we delved deeper into the journey of another startup, hearing firsthand about their evolution from idea to a VC-backed company. This was followed by a workshop on sustainability, highlighting its strategic importance in enhancing investment prospects. Finally, in the afternoon, we had a masterclass on leadership, offering various perspectives and tools for building the right team.
Today also offered a tough decision: two founders approached me, inviting me to join their potential companies. One represented an existing company with real customers but also real challenges such as technical and monetary debt. The other was still in the conceptual stage but presented a strong business case with a skillful team behind.
Fortunately, I had a feedback session with Antler today, where I shared my dilemma. While they didn't make the decision for me, they advised me to trust my instincts, allowing me to explore different options before committing to a team. Ultimately, I opted for the broader idea, becoming part of CampSolver – at least for now. Time will tell if it was the right decision.
Startup Night
IDA hosted a startup event this evening focused on navigating the investment landscape. I saw it as a valuable opportunity to gain new perspectives, so I signed up, and it turned out to be a ind-blowing experience! It was, hands down, the most insightful introduction to fundraising I've encountered. Kudos to Andreas Aabo for not only sharing his story but also distilling it into clear steps with actionable insights. I can't wait to put his advice into practice. Let's go!
