Day 31 - A Full Month

Time flies

It's been 31 days since I joined the Antler program—already a full month. It's incredible how swiftly time flies when your calendar is packed with meetings and events. However, it's also a bit daunting; today marks the first full month without any form of income. While I have savings, I'm growing weary of depleting them without any income to replenish. Nevertheless, it fuels my motivation to make every hour count.

Today was primarily about reflecting on the feedback from yesterday's pitching session. As expected, we received a yellow flag, indicating that we're neither a unicorn (yet) nor a total disaster. We were advised to narrow down our focus to reduce complexity and risk, which makes a lot of sense. However, executing this is easier said than done. I sketched out some ideas based on technical feasibility, aiming for a middle ground where we can still test our main hypotheses—whether people are interested in getting the price of their items before placing them on a marketplace—without a scope that's too big for me to handle.

Coaching Session

In the afternoon, we had our first coaching meeting. Since the meeting was brief and we had received feedback on our pitch via Slack prior to the meeting, it mainly involved introductions and reviewing the feedback we had received. It also gave us the opportunity to ask about how "investable" we are and to focus on the parameters they consider important.

Community Dinner

It's Wednesday, which means it's community dinner night. Like last week, not many people showed up. However, I needed to eat anyway, so why not meet up with a few fellow Antlers? With fewer people, I had the chance to engage in deeper conversations with individuals. Despite that, I believe Antler needs to reconsider its approach to community dinners, or soon there will be no one left attending.
