Day 38 - Pitch Practice

Pitch, Pitch, Pitch
This morning was dedicated to refining our pitch deck for a second run. Although we had 2 minutes extra for the pitch, we also added more slides, making it challenging to cover everything within the given timeframe. Since our last pitch, we've slightly shifted our focus from a cross-market seller tool to emphasizing the tracking of valuables. This strategic pivot offers more novelty and presents a more compelling business model, with the potential to evolve into a SaaS platform instead of relying solely on one-off sales.
While the pitch itself went well, we again ran out of time again. It was a trial run, but it's still somewhat frustrating not to have nailed it yet. With the next pre-IC approaching rapidly, I'm concerned that we won't have everything ready by then. We'll likely have most aspects covered, but obtaining data for the killer validation slide will be challenging before we pitch.
"Community" Dinner
This Wednesday brought a different version of the community dinner. For the first time, I dined with an old friend instead of the cohort. It's fantastic to have moved to a city where some of my old friends live. There's so much happening here that it's sometimes difficult to choose what to do. All this activity makes me feel 20 years younger; it's incredibly energizing!
