Day 4 - Team challenge

The Challenge
Today marked our first team challenge, following the Ørsted case challenge from earlier this week. This time, we were asked to identify a problem we wanted to tackle ourselves. We began by individually brainstorming problems we believed were worth addressing. Subsequently, we presented our ideas and collectively voted on the one we wished to pursue. I pitched the issue of digital nomads facing legal and financial challenges due to lacking a fixed address and paying at expensive hotels. My proposed solution was to develop a platform to address these issues. Ultimately, we opted for a different problem: Semi-pro athletes lacking a competitive edge and facing injury risks due to a lack of science-based training recommendations.
Ascent
Ascent is envisioned as an AI-powered app designed to assist semi-professional athletes with individually tailored, adaptive training suggestions. It leverages data from various biometric trackers, with smartwatches being the most prominent. An AI trained on training plans then generates a personalized plan for the semi-professional. After its initial creation, the app monitors progress and adjusts the plan to maximize effectiveness for the user. Below is an example of the setup:
While we didn't emerge victorious, it was a great opportunity to connect with more people from the cohort.
The remainder of the evening was spent on calls with individuals from other cohorts (networking is crucial!) and getting this blog up and running.
