Day 45 - Getting mobile

Farewell Snappy
While researching content for our slides, we stumbled upon numerous products and services named Snappy on the web. Moreover, we've shifted away from the initial idea of developing a cross-listing tool, instead focusing on evaluating the value of users' items from purchase to resale. While Snappy embodies the essence of something swift, our tool's value emerges over time through continuous use - a perspective we wish to reflect in its name.
As anyone who's attempted to found a company knows, finding the perfect name is a challenge; all the good ones are already taken. After sorting through thousands of possible names, we finally settled on one that resonates with me: Venato. Derived from Latin, it translates to "tracker", signifying our role in monitoring the value of your items. Here's the entry from an latin online dictionary:
venato:
(adjective perfect participle I class masculine singular dative)
- to hunt
- to seek or obtain, search
- find
Perfect! Let's see if this name endures longer than the last.
Downsizing for Mobile
Another task for today was making the landing page mobile-friendly. While our page is visually appealing, it doesn't translate well to small screens, causing components to overflow and create awkward scrolling bars. However, with a touch of CSS magic, I managed to remove the issue. Achieving the right fixes required some trial and error since I had to design while working on it. I believe I've found a solution that works seamlessly across all screens. Check out the GIF below, showcasing the page before and after my optimizations.
