Day 54 - Friday

Every Unit Counts

Today started off with an Antler-hosted session on Unit Economics. LTV, CAC, AOV, AGM, ALT and more. Since most underlying numbers are not available to us yet, it felt a bit like reverse math: you set a target and work backward to make the numbers align. Given that we're still in the early stages of our startup, it will take time before we have reliable data. Unsurprisingly do our educated guesses often yield the outcomes we hope for. While I find the session interesting as unit economics are important especially for B2C companies, it still feels somewhat mysterious, considering the fragile nature of the underlying numbers for startups, let alone new startups that often have to rely on guesses. At least it makes our slides look sophisticated, let's see where this brings us.

Town Hall

Another week has flown by, thus it is time for anther town hall meeting. This time, we had to cover two weeks' worth of updates due to the Easter holiday last Friday. Most of the meeting followed the usual agenda, but one thing stood out: the urgency among those not yet in a team to secure a spot before the upcoming pre-IC III. With sign-ups closing in seven days, it's a clear for anyone still teamless to act fast unless they have compelling reasons for an extension.

Health Hub Meetup

In the evening, I attended the monthly Health Hub meetup. Living in a city with regular, relevant events like this is truly amazing. These meetings facilitate networking, inspiration, and relaxation after long workdays. I had the chance to connect with some fascinating individuals at the event and even gathered some sign-ups for our waiting list. While this method of attracting users may not be scalable, it's always rewarding to see people express interest in our startup after hearing the pitch.
