Finding an Image Service

Today, I dedicated time to researching image upload solutions for our app. My goal is to find a solution that's free, at least for now. However, this poses a challenge as most services start charging early on. While Google Cloud or AWS S3 are popular choices, I'm hesitant to use them due to their complex pricing models and features beyond simple image handling.

After some searching, I stumbled upon UploadThing, which seems to fit the bill. It's a wrapper built on top of AWS S3, but it simplifies the process without unnecessary complexity. Although it may be more expensive in the long run, UploadThing's free tier offers generous limits, allowing us to stay within budget for the time being. Plus, the next tier is only $10 a month, much cheaper than other options I've seen.

Our New Logo

Today, I put the finishing touches on our new logo. I chose a simple design to ensure it's useable across different platforms, colors, and sizes. We may refine our logo in the future, but for now, this design serves its purpose well.
