Day 65 - Pre-IC Pitch

The Pitch

Finally, the day has arrived. It's our last pre-Investment Committee pitch before the real deal. While it might sound like a rehearsal, passing this pitch is required to secure our spot in front of the real investors in a few weeks. So, contrary to its name, the stakes are high. Failing today means the end of the road with Antler.

With this weighing on us, our pitch was scheduled for 10:50. Overall, it went smoothly, despite encountering some technical glitches with the videos at the start - they just wouldn't load. Classic live demo problem. I had already recorded videos of the app, but apparently this was still not fail-safe enough. Thankfully, a few reloads sorted out the issue. The remainder of the pitch proceeded without any hiccups. However, the questions following the pitch were tough, delving straight into the core of our business: What sets us apart? How do we acquire new customers? And how do we manage the associated costs? While we touched on these points during our presentation, they sought specific details. I hope our responses suffice; at least their genuine interest in our concept is promising.

Now, it's a waiting game. We'll likely receive feedback tomorrow during our weekly coaching session. But for now, it's time to celebrate:

Post-Pitch Party

With all teams having completed their pitches, we find ourselves in this curious phase where only Antler knows who advances to the next round - and they're keeping it under wraps for now. Nevertheless, we're all set to party, reflecting on nine weeks of hard work. From strangers to team members, we've journeyed together, presenting concepts that could birth the next unicorns. Selected from over 8,000 applicants, we're closer to our goal than ever. Today, we're all winners.
