Day 68 - Happy Friday

Refining Design
This morning, Riccardo and I refined the design he's been working on for the past few days. While he's made significant progress, having a second pair of eyes on the task is always beneficial. As our features become more detailed with each iteration, it's crucial for the design to mirror this evolution. Not only will it serve as the foundation for the code, but also for the upcoming IC presentation. In less than two weeks, we've transitioned from nearly empty screens to two levels of menus spanning several sub-flows, presenting an ever-increasing complexity. We had to brainstorm ways to simplify it without compromising functionality. Our product is truly taking shape; now, we just need to carve out the time to bring it to life.
Town Hall
Like every Friday, we held our weekly town hall meeting today to review the events of the past week. With our calendars clearing up, there wasn't much to report aside from the pre-IC presentation, of course. We were also briefed on the agenda for next week, marking the final stretch of the official program. It's astounding how swiftly time has flown by. I'm hopeful that we'll make it and become part of the Antler portfolio!
Gamebox Festival
This weekend is the Gamebox Festival held, Denmark's largest LAN party. It should be no surprise that I would love to join. I purchased the tickets months ago, long before joining Antler, and luckily, since Kendal is in Spain this weekend, there was no reason to cancel. After weeks of intense work, a change of scenery will be refreshing for all of us. The next two weeks leading up to the final IC will be intense, so recharging our batteries now will enable us to move even faster. Despite my broken laptop, which can't handle most games, I'm looking forward to immersing myself in the event. Just look at all these nerds, isn't it amazing?
